Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of evidence-based decision making across Citizen by translating complex information into accessible, relevant and actionable insight for technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and written reports.
- Lead the development and delivery of performance reports, dashboards, scorecards and briefings for colleagues, senior leaders, Board and committee members.
- Analyse performance against targets, trends and benchmarks, explaining material variation and identifying emerging risks, opportunities and areas requiring management attention.
- Provide clear recommendations to support informed decision-making and performance improvement.
- Work with service leads and data owners to develop and maintain meaningful key performance indicators that support organisational priorities and continuous improvement.
- Support regulatory and statutory reporting by coordinating accurate evidence, applying relevant technical requirements and meeting submission and publication deadlines.
- Support the validation and quality assurance of key performance information, working with data owners and the Data Quality Team to address issues and improve data integrity.
To fulfil the requirements of this role you will have experience, skills, and knowledge in the following areas:
- Substantial experience of performance reporting, business intelligence, data analysis or a closely related discipline.
- Experience of translating complex data, performance information and technical concepts into clear recommendations that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Experience of leading customer research and other data or analytical projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Demonstrable experience of influencing, advising and constructively challenging senior leaders and stakeholders, building trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience of developing and maintaining performance frameworks, scorecards, dashboards or management reports.
- Confidence and capability in learning and implementing new technology and ways of working
- Understanding of strategic planning, performance management, corporate governance, risk management and regulatory reporting requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrable experience of presenting performance information to a range of audiences, including senior leaders
- Sound understanding of data quality, confidentiality and the responsible use of information.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft excel, reporting and data visualisation tools; experience of working with Power BI is highly desirable.
- Highly developed organisational skills, the ability to prioritise competing requirements, plan reporting cycles and deliver reliably to deadlines
- A relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience in data analysis, business intelligence, statistics, performance management or a related subject.
- Proven experience of delivering high-quality services within a customer-focused environment
- Knowledge of the social housing operating and regulatory context desirable but not essential
