Our client is a market leader in the design and manufacture of children’s outdoor play and outdoor gym equipment. Known for their quality, innovation, and deep-rooted reputation in the sector, they work closely with schools, local authorities, and leisure centres across the UK. Following continued growth and a strong presence in the Southeast, they are expanding their team with the addition of a driven and personable Area Sales Manager.
This is a field-based role focused on selling outdoor play and gym equipment to schools, councils, and leisure providers, working with key decision-makers in these sectors. The successful candidate will play a vital role in both account management and the generation of new business across the region.
The ideal candidate will bring proven sales experience and understand the importance of a consultative sales approach. You should be confident in managing the full sales process, from initial outreach to closing the deal, and be comfortable building long-term trust with clients. While previous experience in the play equipment sector is not essential, a competitive, target-driven attitude and the ability to quickly learn product and design specifics is key.
Salary/Package:
- Basic salary: £30K–£35K (up to £40K for the right candidate)
- Commission: 2% on revenue
- 1% on order received
- 1% on order completed
- Bonus:
- Quarterly stretch targets:
- 125% to target – £500
- 150% to target – £500
- Annual bonus for target achieved – £1,000
