This role combines strategic business development, key account management, and operational oversight within a consultative engineering solutions environment.

The business is expanding its hire division and is seeking a commercially driven individual to lead its continued growth. Roles/Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic growth and profitability of the technical equipment hire division
- Develop new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing key customer accounts
- Take ownership of the division’s commercial performance including P&L responsibility
- Identify opportunities where equipment hire solutions support customer operations or project delivery
- Work closely with engineering, sales, and operational teams to deliver technically and commercially viable solutions
- Monitor fleet utilisation to ensure equipment is deployed efficiently and profitably
- Coordinate equipment deployment, servicing, and turnaround with operational teams
- Support project teams where hire equipment forms part of larger engineering solutions
- Establish and manage hire pricing aligned with market opportunities
- Provide market insights and customer feedback to support future business development
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical, consultative, or solution-based sales
- Background working with equipment used in utilities, water, environmental, or industrial sectors
- Experience in sectors such as wastewater treatment equipment, pump systems, dewatering equipment, filtration systems, or industrial process equipment is highly relevant
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage accounts and develop long-term customer relationships
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Practical and commercially minded approach to problem solving
- Valid UK driving licence required
