JOB TITLE: Junior Account Manager (Client Sales)
DEPARTMENT: UKI Sales
REPORTING TO: General Manager, UKI
WORKPLACE LOCATION: Leeds (Hybrid – Office and Remote)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS? UKI travel to customer sites and trade shows as required.

The Junior Account Manager is responsible for direct Client Sales, motivated to promote Toshiba’s portfolio of products and services, enhance the company’s reputation within the UKI market and build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential clients.
Working cross-functionally and in close collaboration with the Marketing and Customer Fulfilment teams, you will support to ensure the smooth running of business operations, identify efficiencies and get creative to advance Toshiba's position.
You will have the opportunity to attend UKI Retail Tradeshows and are expected to visit customer sites as an ambassador for the business, participating across the sales cycle. You will participate and contribute to knowledge sharing with the wider sales team during team meetings to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Key responsibilities and areas for growth:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Drive direct sales efforts to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and site visits to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty, driving repeat business.
- Manage customer accounts, ensuring smooth communication and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into Oracle and supporting systems to maintain sales administration standards.
- Monitor market trends, collect industry and competitor information, and develop sales strategies.
- Work closely with Marketing to align sales strategies and create impactful campaigns and customer engagement initiatives to promote the company.
- Regularly liaise with the wider sales team to share insights and develop new strategies for client engagement.
- Support with the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and reports.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to nurture relationships and close deals.
- Knowledge sharing and input to team meetings.
What we're looking for – skills and qualities required to succeed in the role:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Able to demonstrate active listening skills and formulate open ended questions, demonstrating curiosity and an eagerness to support.
- A proactive, self-motivated individual with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A keen interest in the Retail industry and the drive to learn and grow within the field.
- A natural interest in life-long learning.
- Previous experience in sales or client-facing roles is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to commute to customer sites as needed.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing office and home working.
- Full UK driving license – Car allowance available for this position.
