Role Overview – What's 'In-Store'? We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of software, SaaS and retail technology solutions for customers across the UK. Working within our Professional Services team, you'll take ownership of projects from initiation through to deployment and handover, helping customers realize value from their technology investments. You'll work closely with customers, architects, technical specialists and commercial teams to coordinate delivery, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure successful outcomes.

This is a hands-on delivery role where you'll maintain project plans, budgets, governance and Risk, Action, Issue and Dependency (RAID) controls while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards. You'll deliver projects of moderate to high complexity, including multi-site retail deployments, software implementations and SaaS solutions involving configuration, integration, testing, deployment and transition-to-support activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful delivery of customer projects from initiation through to deployment and handover.
  • Maintain effective project controls, including plans, Risk, Action, Issue and Dependency (RAID) management, governance and reporting.
  • Coordinate customers, delivery teams and third-party partners to manage priorities, dependencies and delivery milestones.
  • Manage project budgets, commercial commitments and change control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build stakeholder confidence through clear communication and proactive management of risks, issues and delivery challenges.
  • Work with technical teams to support successful implementation, testing, deployment and transition-to-support activities.
  • Contribute to project estimates, Statements of Work, customer proposals and tender responses.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, knowledge sharing and support for developing project management best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Essential: Experience delivering software, SaaS, technology or retail IT projects.
  • Strong project management skills across planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, change control, risk management and financial control.
  • Experience working with technical delivery teams and customer stakeholders across configuration, development, integration, testing, deployment and service transition.
  • Practical understanding of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Experience using Project and Software delivery tools such as Jira and Smartsheet.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK as required for workshops or go-live activity where required.
  • Desirable: Experience within retail technology, POS, store systems, managed services or SaaS environments.
  • Experience delivering multi-site deployment or implementation projects.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, APM PMQ or equivalent qualification.
  • AgilePM certification and/or ITIL Foundation.
