Are you a successful Business Development Manager looking to develop your career further within the IT/ print hardware sector? We’re seeking individuals with solid experience and a proven ability to win and develop new business, specifically in the MFP/ print industry, or as a minimum, in IT hardware or peripherals sales.
Within our industry, customers and sales continue to be generated through a high volume of calls and meetings, so despite being an experienced BDM, we do expect you to have a hunger for picking up the phone and hunting down new business regardless of your level of experience. You will have the opportunity to get out and about, meeting existing customers as well as meeting potential new clients, leading discovery meetings with support from the wider team where necessary. With this in mind, although your role will be based from our Monument offices, there is some flexibility for hybrid working as you will be expected to be out at customer sites on a regular basis.
We have a solid database of leads, so you will have the opportunity to build a targeted approach, and with a structured training and development plan, we will ensure you have the knowledge, tools, information and support required to succeed.
The Role:
- Undertake lead generation activities via high volume cold calling (250+ per week)
- Develop new business opportunities, generating and attending customer meetings
- Present products and services effectively to prospective clients, ensuring clear communication of value propositions
- Converting opportunities to sales – handle the full sales cycle, from outreach to retention
- Establishing and developing long-term client relationships, spotting further opportunities for the wider business
- Serving as a link of communication between key customers and internal teams, liaising with operations and other stakeholders to ensure excellent level of customer service
- Reporting and forecasting regional sales pipeline/ achievements to the Head of Direct Sales
- Managing a number of existing client relationships
- Ensuring you remain up to date with market changes and competitor activity while delivering sales initiatives and campaigns

- A proactive approach with a high level of self-motivation and resilience in a competitive environment
