As Logistics Manager, you will lead the logistics team across the UK and Ireland, ensuring that day-to-day operations run seamlessly while actively contributing to the long-term success of our supply chain. In this role, you will be the driver of continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency in one of our most dynamic markets.
You will be accountable for the coordination of up to 1,800 monthly customer orders and 600 weekly internal transfers, while also acting as a key point of contact for third-party hauliers, customer escalations, and internal cross-functional teams. This position blends leadership, strategic planning, and daily execution in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Your Key Responsibilities- Logistics Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Manage and coach the UK/IRE logistics team, driving high service levels and on-time delivery across all transport operations.
- Oversee planning and execution of up to 1,800 monthly customer orders and 600 transfers back to Tosca sites.
- Lead weekly operations calls and 1:1s with your team to ensure alignment, motivation, and accountability.
- Track and manage transport costs versus budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and pursuing continuous improvement projects.
- Customer & Supplier Engagement
- Act as the escalation point for customer queries, hauliers, and third-party sites.
- Liaise daily with Site Managers to prioritise stock processing and order fulfilment.
- Support customer trials by ensuring delivery timelines and cost parameters are met.
- Regularly visit hauliers and partners to maintain strong, solution-oriented relationships.
- Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Own monthly logistics reporting and daily service-level performance tracking.
- Ensure accuracy in logistics systems (iLog), including adding hauliers, products, and manufacturer details.
- Collaborate with Finance to resolve transport invoice queries and support factory order planning based on 20-week coverage.
- Identify synergies and implement improvements across logistics, transport, and site operations.
- Safety & Compliance
- Champion workplace safety and food safety standards in line with Tosca’s internal policies and ISO practices.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and accountability at every level.
- Proven experience in logistics, transport coordination, or supply chain roles (team management experience required).
- Background in managing operations across multiple sites or with third-party providers.
- Experience with reporting, budgeting, and transport cost control.
- Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
- Data-driven mindset with an ability to manage KPIs and operational dashboards.
- Hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
- Fluent in English; confident communicator across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with transport systems (iLog or similar) and Excel; ERP experience is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 20% to visit partner sites and hauliers as required.
