Production Team Leader Location: Coalville, Leicestershire Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Days: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 12:00 pm 9:00 pm, including a one-hour unpaid break Pay: £16.00 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week About the Role Torva Europe UK Ltd is looking for a reliable and hands-on Production Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of our production facility in Coalville. The facility processes animal by-products for onward manufacture into pet food ingredients. The Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating the production team, allocating daily tasks, monitoring work standards, and ensuring that production activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures. This is a hands-on role, and the successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the production team when required, while also providing day-to-day supervision and reporting operational issues to the Operations Manager. Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position within food production, meat processing, manufacturing, warehousing, or a similar operational environment would be advantageous. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the production team during the shift. Allocate daily duties and ensure production activities are completed efficiently and on time. Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, performance, and adherence to workplace procedures. Support, guide, and train Production Operators in their day-to-day duties. Carry out hands-on production and processing activities alongside the team when required. Ensure raw materials are handled, prepared, and processed in accordance with company procedures. Ensure production equipment is operated safely and correctly. Oversee packing, labelling, storage, and preparation of finished or semi-finished products for transportation. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the production facility. Ensure cleaning of machinery, equipment, and production areas is completed to the required standard.
