Do you have strong technical knowledge of asbestos management, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safe homes and buildings? We’re looking for an Asbestos Surveyor to join our Assets team and play a key role in managing asbestos across our property portfolio. This is a site-based role that involves travelling to sites across Liverpool, Warrington and St Helens, with daily drop-offs at our Central Office. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle for business use. Please note that mileage expenses will be reimbursed in line with company policy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carry out a range of asbestos surveys to support maintenance, refurbishment, and investment works across the property portfolio.
  • Produce clear and accurate survey reports to support safe and compliant works.
  • Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the organisation’s Asbestos Register, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Validate asbestos information provided by internal surveyors and external consultants, ensuring data quality and reliability.
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders on asbestos-related matters.
  • Ensure full compliance with asbestos legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Control of Asbestos Regulations.
  • Support the maintenance and development of asbestos management systems and processes.
  • Build positive working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless service.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the asset management operational plan and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote value for money, innovation, and risk management in day-to-day activities.

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience carrying out asbestos surveys within residential or commercial property environments.
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Control of Asbestos Regulations.
  • Experience producing asbestos survey reports and maintaining asbestos registers or databases.
  • Relevant asbestos surveying qualifications (e.g., BOHS P402 or equivalent).
  • Ability to analyse and validate technical asbestos data from internal and external sources.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement, risk management, and delivering value for money.
  • Commitment to health and safety, equality, and excellent customer service.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites as required.

Interview Process:

Candidates will be invited to attend an in-person interview, which will include a competency-based discussion exploring relevant technical knowledge, experience and skills required for the role. Interviews will take place on 10/04/2026 at our St Helens Office.
