Role Description

The People Business Partner - Reward, Benefits and Wellbeing is a contract position based in the Greater Liverpool Area, offered on a hybrid working model with a mix of office and home-based work. This role is responsible for designing, reviewing, and implementing reward and benefits strategies that support attraction, retention, and engagement across the group. Day-to-day activities include conducting benchmarking and market analysis, managing pay and benefits cycles, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation. The role will work closely with managers and colleagues to develop and deliver wellbeing initiatives, advise on complex reward and benefits queries, and contribute to people-focused projects and continuous improvement. The People Business Partner will collaborate with HR, Finance, and senior stakeholders to provide data-driven insights, support organisational change, and promote inclusive, equitable people practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in reward, benefits, and compensation management, including benchmarking, job evaluation, and pay review processes.
  • Knowledge of employee wellbeing strategies and practices, with experience designing and delivering wellbeing initiatives and programs.
  • Solid understanding of employment law, HR policies, and regulatory requirements relevant to reward, benefits, and working practices.
  • Advanced analytical and data skills, including using HR systems and spreadsheets to interpret trends, prepare reports, and support evidence-based decisions.
  • Proven stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, build relationships, and provide clear guidance to managers and colleagues.
  • Experience working in HR business partnering or a specialist reward/benefits role, ideally within housing, public sector, or another complex multi-site organisation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPD or equivalent experience) and commitment to ongoing professional development.
