Do you have strong organisational skills, a passion for learning and development, and a proactive approach to supporting colleagues? Due to an ongoing group transformation programme, we are expanding our Learning and Development team and are looking for a proactive and innovative Learning and Development Advisor to join our People Services team at Torus. This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, with a mandatory team day every Monday in our Liverpool City Centre Office. You will also be required to travel to our Stonebridge, Warrington and St Helens offices in line with business needs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as a systems trainer for key organisational platforms, delivering training to colleagues at all levels.
- Develop user guides, quick reference materials, and digital walkthroughs to support system adoption.
- Support system rollouts by coordinating training plans, delivering sessions, and gathering user feedback.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure training materials remain accurate and up to date.
- Design high-quality learning content, including eLearning modules, digital resources, facilitator guides, and workshop materials.
- Deliver engaging training sessions across a range of topics, including systems training, compliance, and core skills.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness and continuously improve content based on feedback and performance data.
- Work with subject matter experts to translate technical information into accessible, learner friendly content.
- Support the development of blended learning pathways aligned to organisational needs.
- Manage the end-to-end process of training bookings, ensuring accuracy, compliance and a high-quality experience for colleagues.
- Maintain training records and systems, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness at all times.
- Support apprenticeship programmes, including coordination, compliance monitoring and engagement with learners.
- Source and manage external training providers, ensuring value for money and high-quality delivery.
- Monitor training spend, supplier performance and learning outcomes, providing reports and insights to support decision making.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, acting as a key point of contact for learning and development queries.
- Support continuous improvement by evaluating training effectiveness and identifying gaps in provision.
- Ensure all activity aligns with safeguarding, health & safety, equality and regulatory requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working in a learning and development, HR, or training-focused role.
- Experience designing and delivering training, including digital and blended learning.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience managing training administration, systems and record keeping.
- Knowledge of learning management systems and HR platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working with external training providers and managing value for money (desirable).
- Understanding of apprenticeship programmes and compliance requirements (desirable).
- A proactive, detail-focused and customer-oriented approach.
- A commitment to health and safety, equality, and delivering high-quality services.
- CIPD Level 5 in Learning & Development (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards (desirable).
