We are looking for a Greenspace Operative to join our Environmental Services team on a seasonal fixed-term contract from March 2026 to the end of October 2026. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality grounds and environmental maintenance services across the North West, helping us create safe, clean and welcoming outdoor spaces for our customers and communities. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in high standards, and has a strong customer-focused approach.
Working Pattern: 41 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30am - 4:00pm
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out a wide range of grounds maintenance and horticultural tasks, including grass cutting, strimming, pruning, weeding, spraying and planting
- Supporting wider environmental maintenance activities, such as litter picking, leaf clearance, waste removal, landscaping and general ground works
- Assisting trades colleagues where required to support a right first time approach
- Operating tools, plant and equipment safely and efficiently
- Planning and organising your workload to meet scheduled appointments and priority response times
- Using mobile IT systems to receive instructions, complete work orders and record activity
- Communicating professionally with customers, colleagues, schedulers and other teams
- Ensuring all work meets required quality standards, health & safety requirements and performance measures
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping or similar
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong customer focus and good communication skills
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
- Experience of arboriculture or related environmental works

Interview Process: Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of competency-based questions. Interviews will take place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th March at our HMS Stonebridge Office.
