A large established consultancy firm who provides data analytics and consultancy advice across the financial services, energy and health industries are looking to expand their finance team with the appointment of a Qualified Financial Reporting Accountant. They are ideally looking for a candidate with either a strong audit background who is looking for their first role out of practice or someone with proven statutory reporting experience who might be looking for their second role in industry.

The company has developed into a number of new markets and continues to diversify and expand, making it an exciting time to join. This newly created role will work as a key member of the finance team and will provide you with the opportunity to develop your role and advance your career.

The role will involve:

  • Preparing the group and subsidiary annual statutory accounts.
  • Assisting the external audit team with all queries, finance requests and accounting information as required.
  • Working closely with all parts of the business ensuring all reporting requirements are adhered to.
  • Assisting with external reporting requirements from regulatory boards.
  • Assisting with accounting queries that arise across business areas.
  • Managing reporting timescales, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Helping review processes and procedures, making improvement recommendations.
  • Taking an active role in project work, helping the company develop and grow.

To apply for the position, you must hold a professional accounting qualification and have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. Knowledge of financial services, fintech or professional services reporting would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
