Surveyor - Repairs in Warrington

We're looking for a

Repairs Surveyor to join our Assets team based at Warrington Bank Park House.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced surveyor to play a key role in maintaining and improving our homes, delivering a high-quality service for customers while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

In this varied role, you'll undertake a range of asset management and property surveys, including responsive repairs inspections, stock condition surveys, HHSRS assessments and investment-related surveys.

You'll work closely with customers, contractors and colleagues to identify defects, manage works on site and ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and value for money.

Working arrangements

This role is based at our Warrington Bank Park House office; however, a large proportion of your time will be spent on site across our operational areas.

There are no set office days, although surveyors are encouraged to attend the office at the end of the working where possible to complete administration and collaborate with colleagues.

What you'll be doing

• Carry out a range of asset management and property surveys, including responsive repairs, stock condition surveys, HHSRS assessments and investment-related surveys.
• Inspect homes and buildings to identify defects, assess condition and recommend appropriate repair, maintenance or improvement works.
• Prepare works orders, specifications, estimates and costings, ensuring works are prioritised appropriately.
• Monitor contractor performance on site, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, investigating and resolving queries and concerns while delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Work closely with residents and stakeholders throughout projects, ensuring effective consultation, communication and engagement from start to finish.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues, customers and contractors where required.
• Assess and design adaptations to support customers with disabilities and specific needs.
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems to ensure property and project information remains up to date.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, regulatory standards and organisational policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Assets team to deliver service improvements, operational targets and value for money.

What we're looking for

• A Level 4 qualification in Construction, or equivalent relevant surveying and building experience.
• Experience delivering property surveys within a housing, asset management, repairs or construction environment, including stock condition surveys and HHSRS assessments.
• Knowledge of responsive repairs, planned maintenance and refurbishment works, with experience managing contractors and monitoring works on site.
• A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements relating to property maintenance and construction.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, contractors and a range of stakeholders.
• Good IT skills, strong organisational ability and a proactive approach to managing workloads and driving continuous improvement.
• A customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services and value for money.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business insurance, as regular travel across our operational areas is required.

Interview process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person competency-based interview at our Warrington Bank Park House office during the week commencing 19 October 2026.

Candidates successful at this stage will then progress to a practical assessment within a void property, allowing them to demonstrate their surveying knowledge and approach to identifying property defects in a live setting.
