We're looking for a Pay and Benefits Coordinator to join our People Services team on a fixed-term contract until November 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in payroll, pensions, reward or employee benefits to develop their skills within a busy and supportive team while helping deliver an outstanding service to colleagues across Torus.

In this varied role, you'll support the delivery of our pay, pensions, reward and benefits services, providing expert support to colleagues while contributing to continuous improvement across the team.

Working arrangements

We offer a hybrid approach to working, with attendance required at our Liverpool City Centre office on Mondays and our Warrington Bank Park office on Wednesdays and Fridays.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused reward, wellbeing and benefits service, including pay and pensions, to colleagues across the Group.
  • Promote and support the Group's reward, wellbeing and benefits offer, helping colleagues understand and access the support available to them.
  • Process and maintain reward, benefits, payroll and pension information accurately, ensuring records are up to date and colleagues are paid correctly and on time.
  • Support the administration of pension schemes, employee benefits, mileage claims, new starters, leavers, holiday trading and other contractual changes.
  • Act as a first point of contact for colleagues and managers, investigating and resolving reward, benefits, payroll and pension queries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and People Services systems, ensuring compliance, confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
  • Build effective working relationships with colleagues, managers and external stakeholders to support the delivery of an efficient and people-focused service.
  • Support audits, investigations, reporting requirements and year-end payroll and pension activities where required.
  • Assist with reviewing and improving reward, wellbeing, benefits, payroll and pension processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Support the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion, while ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies are adhered to.

Experience working in a reward and benefits, payroll or pensions role with a strong customer focus.

  • Experience supporting the delivery of administrative services within a busy People Services, HR or payroll environment.
  • A relevant payroll, pensions, reward or benefits qualification, or equivalent experience, would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and confidential information.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using and learning new systems and technologies.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to question processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative, inclusive and customer-focused approach to work.
  • The ability to attend our Liverpool and Warrington office locations on the required working days. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be advantageous.
  • GCSE Maths and English (Level 4/C or equivalent).
