HMS, part of Torus Group is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Tiler to join our repairs and maintenance team, delivering high-quality workmanship across homes and client properties in the North West. You will play a key role in providing a reliable, efficient, and customer-centred service, working as part of a multi-skilled team to ensure repairs are completed safely, effectively, and to a high standard.
What You Will Be Doing
- Carrying out all aspects of tiling work, both internal and external, including remedial repairs
- Completing associated multi-trade tasks such as plastering, painting, and basic joinery to support a one job, one visit approach
- Diagnosing repairs, undertaking pre-measuring, and determining appropriate solutions
- Planning and organising your workload efficiently, making best use of time, materials, tools, and transport
- Working within scheduled appointment systems and liaising professionally with customers and colleagues
- Using IT and mobile systems to receive instructions, complete work orders, and order materials
- Maintaining company vehicles, tools, equipment, and stock responsibly
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards, company policies, and quality requirements
- Supporting apprentices or colleagues where required and contributing to continuous improvement
- Participating in an out-of-hours rota when required (separate payment applies)
What We Are Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Tiling
- A valid CSCS card at the appropriate level
- Full UK or EU driving licence
- Proven experience in tiling and building maintenance work
- Strong customer care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A flexible and proactive approach, with willingness to undertake a variety of tasks
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and safe working practices
- A positive, professional attitude with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
Interview Process
Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a competency-based interview.
