Are you a qualified electrician looking to join a team delivering high-quality construction and maintenance services? HMS, part of Torus Group is seeking a skilled Electrician to work across the North West, delivering excellent customer service and contributing to a first-class repairs and maintenance operation. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in both maintenance and construction activities while supporting apprentices and working as part of an integrated, customer-focused team.

As an Electrician, you will carry out a wide range of electrical works internally and externally, including rewires, remedial works, and upgrades to meet current legislation. You'll also contribute to multi-trade activities such as plumbing, plastering, and joinery to support our "one job, one visit" approach. You will be responsible for planning and organising your work efficiently, liaising with customers, schedulers, and site teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will also supervise and support apprentices and trainees, helping develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

This role involves occasional out-of-hours work as part of a rota to provide a seamless repairs and maintenance service, for which a separate payment agreement applies.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Carrying out a wide range of electrical work, including rewires, remedial works, and upgrades to meet current legislation
  • Supporting multi-trade tasks such as plumbing, plastering, and joinery where required
  • Planning and organising work efficiently, making best use of time, materials, and resources
  • Working within a scheduled appointment system and liaising with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting apprentices or trainees
  • Completing all documentation accurately and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards
  • Liaising with schedulers, planners, contractors, and other HMS teams to ensure seamless delivery
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and competency development programs
What We Are Looking For:
  • Time-served electrical apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification (EMTA 17/18th Edition)
  • 2391 Electrical Testing Qualification and valid CSCS card
  • Experience in electrical maintenance and construction activities, with multi-skilling desirable
  • Excellent customer care skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently, using initiative and managing your own workload
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work across a variety of duties as required
  • Strong communication skills to engage with customers, colleagues, and apprentices
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality service
Interview Process:

Candidates will be invited to in-person interviews at our Stonebridge office, which will include a competency-based interview.
