Do you have strong technical skills, a commitment to safe working practices, and the ability to deliver high‑quality electrical services? We’re looking for an

Electrical Testing Electrician (E. I. C. R) to join our M&E team, carrying out electrical testing, inspection, certification and remedial works to ensure our homes remain safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard.

You’ll complete EICRs, diagnose faults, deliver remedial repairs and support wider planned works across Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.

This is a mobile role, requiring flexibility to work across multiple locations in line with business needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carry out all types of electrical work, including EICRs, rewires, upgrades, remedial repairs and installations in line with current legislation.
  • Support associated trades such as plastering, plumbing and joinery to contribute to our ‘one job one visit’ approach.
  • Plan and organise work effectively, ensuring efficient use of time, materials and equipment.
  • Operate within scheduled appointment systems, liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Supervise and support apprentices, trainees and other employees as required.
  • Undertake diagnostic and pre‑measuring work to scope and complete tasks accurately.
  • Use IT systems to receive instructions, update job information and order materials.
  • Make informed decisions regarding repair requirements, communicating clearly with customers when follow‑up work is needed.
  • Complete all documentation accurately, including electrical test certificates, and contribute to ongoing competency and development programmes.
  • Drive company vehicles safely and maintain stock, tools and equipment to required standards.
  • Manage materials effectively, minimising waste and ensuring appropriate specifications are used.
  • Work collaboratively with Schedulers, Planners, CLOs and other teams to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Uphold high standards of customer care, safety, quality and performance.

What we’re looking for

  • Time‑served apprenticeship.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation, including 18th Edition.
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification.
  • CSCS card at the appropriate level (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong experience in electrical maintenance and construction.
  • Good customer care skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible approach to varied duties and changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.

You will be required to provide proof of essential qualifications if you are invited to attend an interview.

Interview Process

  • Candidates will be invited to attend an interview, which will include a competency‑based discussion exploring relevant experience, technical knowledge and customer‑focused behaviours.

Interviews will take place at our Stonebridge Office, week commencing 27th July 2026.
