  • Support the implementation of Data Protection Officer initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Prioritise workload effectively to ensure deadlines and statutory requirements are achieved.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions to help improve understanding of data protection requirements across the Group.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for data protection compliance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across services to promote best practice and consistent approaches to data protection.
  • Undertake ongoing learning and development to maintain and enhance knowledge of data protection legislation and best practice.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, health and safety and the safe use of customer data across the Group.

What we're looking for:

  • A good standard of education, including GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • A Data Protection qualification or certificate, or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience working in a busy office environment undertaking administrative and clerical duties.
  • Understanding of data protection legislation and experience of managing Data Subject Access Requests.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience of using eDiscovery tools and OneTrust would be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and confident approach when dealing with colleagues and customers.
