THE TEAM: The Senior Management Accountant sits within the central Finance team, working closely with the Finance Manager, Group Financial Accountant, Head of Finance, and cross-functional stakeholders in Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial. The team is responsible for delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting and supporting decision-making across a fast-growing, multi-site international business.

THE ROLE: This role leads key elements of the management accounting, reporting and analysis cycle for the Tortilla group. The Senior Management Accountant will take ownership of month-end processes, provide high-quality insight to support business performance, and play a critical role in improving processes, reporting and financial controls. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced management accountant to step into a broader, more commercially engaged role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the month-end close process, producing accurate and timely P&L and Balance Sheet reporting with supporting variance analysis
  • Own and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring robustness, compliance, and audit-readiness
  • Prepare monthly financial analysis for stores and Support Office departments, including clear and insightful commentary vs budget and prior periods
  • Own month-end reporting of stock, COGS, rebates, property costs, franchise, sales ledger, and intercompany reporting
  • Oversee company credit card and personnel expense reimbursement processes
  • Support the Group Financial Accountant with the annual audit process, taking the lead on all areas aligned to management accounts responsibility
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, systems and controls
  • Manage the Junior Management Accountant, and mentor junior members of the finance team and support their development

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with experience in multi-site, retail or hospitality sectors
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence with financial systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles and reporting cycles
  • Proven experience delivering accurate month-end processes to tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
