We are offering an opportunity to work with us for approx. two months while our core team are focusing on a new venture. There may be future opportunities available within our restaurant or street food operations after that time. Harajuku Kitchen started life as a Japanese street food stall in Edinburgh, and is now also a renowned and award-winning restaurant led by very skilled and passionate chefs, serving authentic Japanese cuisine. As we expand, we are looking to take on an experienced Chef to help us achieve our goal of making people happy with delicious Japanese food. Our intention every time is to improve so the next experience is even better than the last!

Responsibilities

  • Run a busy section independently and work across all areas of the kitchen
  • Control the pass during service and liaise with front of house staff
  • Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
  • Food preparation for all sections
  • Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
