This role will be based at our Bradford site with travel required to our Wigan site (pool car available - travel included in working day).

About the Role

As a HR Advisor at Torque, you’ll be a trusted partner to managers and employees across the business.

You’ll provide expert advice on employee relations, compliance, and HR best practice, while supporting a positive workplace culture.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll balance day-to-day HR support with driving initiatives that make Torque an even better place to work.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Advise managers on HR matters, including absence, grievances, disciplinaries, performance, and capability.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and fair application of HR policies.
  • Support and communicate family-friendly policies (maternity, paternity, flexible working, etc.).
  • Partner with managers to deliver recruitment end-to-end: advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.
  • Deliver engaging HR inductions and ensure new hires are set up for success.
  • Assist with workplace adjustments, risk assessments, and employee well-being support.
  • Coach and develop managers to build people capability.
  • Provide HR administration support, including ER casework documentation and note-taking.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that improve culture, engagement, and succession planning.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
  • 1+ years’ experience in an HR Advisor role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused.
  • Flexible with the ability to work across multiple sites (driving licence required).
