About the Role
As a HR Advisor at Torque, you’ll be a trusted partner to managers and employees across the business. You’ll provide expert advice on employee relations, compliance, and HR best practice, while supporting a positive workplace culture.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll balance day-to-day HR support with driving initiatives that make Torque an even better place to work.
What You’ll Do
- Advise managers on HR matters, including absence, grievances, disciplinaries, performance, and capability.
- Ensure compliance with employment law and fair application of HR policies.
- Support and communicate family-friendly policies (maternity, paternity, flexible working, etc.).
- Partner with managers to deliver recruitment end-to-end: advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.
- Deliver engaging HR inductions and ensure new hires are set up for success.
- Assist with workplace adjustments, risk assessments, and employee well-being support.
- Coach and develop managers to build people capability.
- Provide HR administration support, including ER casework documentation and note-taking.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that improve culture, engagement, and succession planning.
What We’re Looking For
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
- 1+ years’ experience in an HR Advisor role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused.
- Flexible with the ability to work across multiple sites (driving licence required).
