As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional front‑of‑house service with a high level of courtesy and professionalism, and for providing a relaxing environment where guests feel refreshed & revived and look forward to repeating the holiday experience. Previous Hotel Reception experience is desired, but not essential. Good customer service skills are crucial.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting guests and customers warmly, creating an instantly positive first point of contact experience.
  • Representing the business with a positive attitude and professional approach.
  • Providing customer support and use of resources and product knowledge to assist customers’ queries.
  • Taking and directing calls, managing reception daily diaries and hotel information.
  • Taking reservations and managing room bookings, including the rooms door card system.
  • Completing administrative tasks to an outstanding level of accuracy, including but not limited to filing, delivering and accepting emails, liaising with other hotel departments as required to help continuously enhance the customer experience.
  • Maintaining good reception and conference diary updates, for meetings and conferences.
  • Maintaining front door security and reporting.
  • Putting through the sale of items from Hotel bars and Restaurant.
  • Cleaning, organising, and maintaining the reception work area.

Hours and Rate of pay:

This is a casual contract up to 37.5 hours over 5 days, requiring evening and weekend availability. Early shifts start from 7.30 am and late shifts can finish at 10pm. Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour – Aged 21+ (£10.42 per hour for aged 19-20; £10 per hour for aged 18; £9.50 per hour for aged 16-17).
