The Procurement Specialist supports company’s sourcing operations by identifying suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of food and agricultural products.

  • Procurement & Supplier Management
    • Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers.
    • Manage procurement contracts, pricing terms, and delivery schedules.
    • Evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality and sustainability standards.
    • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to secure competitive advantage.
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Identify, acquire, and grow relationships with retail and industrial clients.
    • Negotiate sales contracts, volumes, and commercial terms.
    • Achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets for assigned categories.
    • Strengthen Glatz’s presence in the Austrian and international food/agribusiness market.
  • Production & Demand Planning
    • Align procurement and sales forecasts to ensure efficient production planning.
    • Prepare and monitor demand forecasts, stock levels, and delivery schedules.
    • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize inventory management.
    • Ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries to retail and industrial customers.
    • Provide visibility on production requirements based on seasonal cycles and customer demand.
  • Market & Commercial Analysis
    • Conduct regular market intelligence on prices, trends, and competitors.
    • Provide margin and profitability analysis to management.
    • Support in budgeting, forecasting, and investment proposals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Partner with finance on payment terms, credit risk, and cash flow.
    • Work with marketing to enhance product positioning and brand visibility.
    • Collaborate closely with logistics and operations for end-to-end supply chain efficiency.
  • University degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • 4–6 years’ experience in procurement, sales, or production planning (FMCG, food distribution, or agribusiness).
  • Proven success in managing both supplier and client accounts.
  • Experience in production or demand planning is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; ERP/CRM systems knowledge preferred.
  • Fluent in English, German and/or Hindi.
