As an ICA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation, modification, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical and control systems across industrial and water sector sites across the South West. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality automation solutions - supporting everything from pumping stations to treatment facilities.

You’ll be involved with a wide range of systems including:

  • Industrial networking
  • Electrical installations in line with BS7671

Key Responsibilities of the Instrumentation, Control & Automation Engineer include:

  • Commission and maintain control systems and instrumentation on industrial process equipment (pumps, motors, dosing units, flow/pressure/temp sensors, etc.)
  • Work from a range of technical documentation (wiring diagrams, P&IDs, schematics)
  • Collaborate with internal project teams and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and technically sound project delivery
  • Provide support throughout the project lifecycle—from site surveys to handover

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong foundation in Electrical or Control Engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred)
  • Working knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems
  • Familiarity with PLCs, motor starters, VSDs, and industrial control networks
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (IET)
  • CSCS or ECS certification
  • Experience in following health & safety best practices

What’s in it for You:

  • £45,000-£60,000 depending on experience
  • Company vehicle and fuel card
