About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated professional to lead a team of enthusiastic early years and KS1 practitioners in our thriving Prep School, starting in September 2026. The full‑time permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Head and Senior Management, actively shaping the vision and ethos of the school.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Work closely with the Head and Senior Management team to shape the vision and ethos of the school.
- Collaborate with both the Pre‑Prep and Prep staff, demonstrating strong pastoral skills to create a supportive environment.
- Partner with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in the Prep school and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) DSL.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom where children feel confident and motivated to learn.
- Reflect on practice, remain keen to develop and have a firm grasp of curricular developments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Genuine love for working with younger pupils, demonstrating nurturing qualities, kindness and a calm demeanour.
- Effective leadership and collaborative skills, able to inspire and support pupils, colleagues, parents and the wider community.
- Pastoral experience and ability to work harmoniously with staff and parents.
- Strong grasp of EYFS and curriculum development.
- Imaginative, flexible and able to inspire and support pupils.
