As Crewing Manager, you’ll play a vital role in helping us deliver a great service, contributing to TORM's success in the global shipping industry.

Your Role

Based in our London office, you will be part of the Marine HR team located in Hellerup, Denmark. Our team in Denmark is responsible for handling our European seafarers with respect to everything from recruitment, planning, development, documentation, and training. As Crewing Manager, you will report to the Head of Marine HR Operations Europe based in Denmark, and you will among other things be responsible for your own pool of officers and making sure the daily operations are in line with TORM requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and handling our UK pool of cadets
  • Coordinating and booking flights for our European seafarers
  • Planning onboarding and on-time relief of officers as per contract requirements
  • Planning and securing a solid career plan for individual seafarers
  • Maintaining effective communication with vessels, internal stakeholders in the TORM offices globally, as well as external stakeholders
  • Overseeing and executing the follow-up on documentation, certification check for seafarers
  • Reviewing appraisals and follow-up on development plans as required
  • Optimizing crew change costs using your knowledge and experience
  • Ensuring compliance with regards to all international, national, port state, flag state, oil major matrix requirements and local regulations related to Marine HR
  • Coordinating with the Training department to identify training needs and follow-up on execution
  • Liaising with the Insurance team for onboard staff medical visits and medical sign-off

Your Profile / Qualifications

We imagine that you have experience in crewing, HR, or perhaps you have a background as a seafarer. We expect that you master details with a solid overview of processes and procedures and handle your responsibilities in a collaborative manner by valuing true team spirit.
