As a Tendering Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our bidding process, working closely with the Spares General Manager and the Tendering & Procurement Manager. You will ensure our proposals are technically sound, commercially competitive, and aligned with our growth targets. Beyond tendering, you will serve as our Salesforce Superuser/admin, providing essential support to the sales team and ensuring our CRM data is optimised for success.
Key Responsibilities- Tender Management: Manage all tender activities, including reviewing customer enquiry documents, specifications, and preparing detailed cost sheets for internal review.
- Technical Support: Compile technical pricing and contractual data prior to proposal submission.
- Strategic Collaboration: Support divisional managers with advanced proposal plans and liaise with the internal Project team to develop operational strategies.
- Business Growth: Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets while achieving targets for revenue, profitability, and sales growth.
- Stakeholder Relations: Communicate with and maintain excellent working practices with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- CRM Leadership: Act as the Salesforce Superuser, inputting relevant details of customer conversations and managing the database to support the wider sales team.
- Technical Expertise: A strong background in pumps and rotating equipment is considered invaluable for this role.
- Salesforce Experience: Previous experience as a Salesforce administrator or superuser is highly beneficial.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to manage costs effectively across all tendering aspects.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to seek customer feedback and address their needs or concerns actively.
