Role Overview
A results-driven Fluid Power Sales Manager with a strong focus on developing new business opportunities across hydraulic and lubrication systems, site service work, commissioning, design, and troubleshooting. Experienced in building long-term client relationships by delivering practical, engineered solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, and uptime across industrial operations. Combines technical expertise with a consultative sales approach to identify customer needs, propose tailored systems, and convert opportunities into sustainable revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the senior management team.
- Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets.
- Communicate and maintain good working practices with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Support TSSE sales team with specialist fluid power knowledge/applications and tendering.
- Research, analyse and set price points to maximise sales and maintain margins.
- Maintain communication with customers.
- Work closely with the fluid power division to identify new opportunities and close out ongoing scopes of work.
- Required to travel within the UK and potentially overseas (mainly Europe) for meetings and conferences.
- Prepare and present reports when needed.
- Create and execute agreed fluid power sales strategy.
- Experience using a CRM.
- Maintain customer/tendering database.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum HNC or equivalent.
- Hydraulic training courses via a recognised provider (NFPC, BFPA, Bath University, etc).
- Clean, valid UK drivers’ licence.
- Good communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the fluid power industry.
- Ability to formulate proposals and presentations.
- Self-motivated.
- In depth understanding of the sales process.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to network successfully.
