As a HR Specialist, you will have a lead role in delivering projects and programmes of work, that will make a difference to the way we work and improve the services that we provide to the people of Torfaen.

We have a strong team ethos within HR, and you need to enjoy working with and in the teams, understanding business requirements, assessing different delivery methods, and implementing solutions. The role is varied, and you need to be prepared to flex within your role dependent on the requirements and priorities.

You need to be resilient to work here, we have a vision for how we are going to do things differently to respond to the needs and challenges of our communities, our plans are ambitious, and that means you will need to respond with the pace of change, but you can really influence how we do things. We are looking for someone who wants to work collaboratively with all areas of the Council to enhance our service delivery, and who will enjoy working with and building strong relationships with our colleagues. You need to be inquisitive and daring enough to respond to the challenges and deliver the changes that will ensure that Torfaen Council remains a great place to work. Our plans are ambitious, so if you are looking for a varied HR role where you can genuinely influence how we do things and see the impact of your work, we would like to hear from you.
