Solicitor - Children's Legal Services

About you - You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated solicitor. You could already be a local government solicitor with experience of advising on Children Social care matters, or you could be a solicitor with Children Law/Social Care experience open to the challenge of developing your existing skills into new areas of law.About us - We are a busy Legal Team supporting professional colleagues across all parts of the Council to deliver an excellent service to the residents of Torfaen. Find out more about the Council here As a Team we embrace the Council’s policy of working from home and attending the Council’s newly refurbished offices in the Civic Centre, Pontypool to meet the demands of our work.About the role - This exciting full-time opportunity will allow you to specialise in Children Law/Social Care and assist the Litigation team as required. If you are not already an expert, you will be given the opportunity to become one. Training and mentoring from experienced officers in the Legal Team will be given to enable you to develop your skills and knowledge and you will be provided with a wide breadth of experience.
