We're working with a well-established specialist within the industrial water treatment sector, looking to appoint a Sales & Water Treatment Engineer to manage and develop an established customer base across the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in boiler water treatment or industrial water chemistry who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer relationship management. You'll inherit an established territory, working with existing customers whilst identifying opportunities to grow the business through technical advice, site surveys and tailored treatment solutions.
The business supplies a range of market-leading chemical water treatment products and services, offering genuinely innovative solutions that help customers improve efficiency, reduce operating costs and minimise environmental impact. With ambitious growth plans and a supportive, close-knit team, this role offers excellent long-term career prospects for the right individual.
Whilst this is a commercially focused position, technical credibility is essential. You'll be comfortable discussing boiler water treatment, chemical analysis and mechanical systems whilst building trusted relationships with customers across a range of industrial sectors.
The Role- Manage and develop an established portfolio of customer accounts across the East Midlands
- Carry out customer site visits, surveys and water analysis
- Provide technical advice and recommend appropriate water treatment solutions
- Develop and implement a regional business development plan to achieve sustainable year-on-year growth
- Build long-term customer relationships through excellent technical support and service
- Produce accurate reports following customer visits and submit information to Head Office
- Work closely with customers to identify opportunities to improve system performance and efficiency
- Represent the business professionally, promoting its products and technical capabilities throughout the region
- Experience within boiler water treatment, industrial water treatment or chemical water treatment
- Sound understanding of water chemistry with a practical appreciation of mechanical systems
- Previous experience in a technical sales, field service or customer-facing engineering role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercially aware with the ability to develop existing accounts and identify new business opportunities
- Analytical with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Knowledge of cooling towers, ACoP L8 and HSG274 would be highly advantageous
- Chemistry Degree or equivalent scientific or engineering qualification preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Self-motivated, organised and comfortable managing a home-based regional territory
