Are you a Building Surveyor with 2–3 years' experience looking to take the next step in your career? Do you want structured support to achieve your RICS Chartership while working on complex, high-value projects across the Defence and Government estate?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering surveying, design and engineering services across some of the UK's most secure and technically interesting sites.
You will be home-based in the North West (Manchester, Leeds or nearby), carrying out site inspections and surveys across the region, while being fully supported by a highly experienced technical team based in Portsmouth and Monmouth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out building surveys, condition surveys and defect inspections across Defence, Housing Association and Commercial properties
- Support refurbishment, alteration, extension and new-build projects
- Assist in preparing specifications, schedules of works and tender documentation
- Work with senior surveyors on design, planning, Building Regulations and project delivery
- Attend site inspections, project meetings and client briefings
- Support Health & Safety and regulatory compliance across live projects
- Maintain clear project records and reports in line with company systems
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Around 2–3 years' experience in a building surveying, construction or property consultancy environment
- Already working towards RICS/APC Chartership (or a desire to)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of building pathology, design and construction
- An understanding of design principles and software (AutoCAD, Revit)
- Willingness to travel across the North West for site visits
- Eligible for UK security clearance (or willing to obtain)
