With a strong project pipeline across MOD and Defence projects and/or Local Authority and Social Housing sectors, we’re growing our Building Surveying team and are open to candidates with experience in either or both areas.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing surveying expertise across a range of exciting property portfolios.
- Working on alterations, refurbishments, new builds, extensions, listed buildings, and estate regeneration projects.
- Preparing reports, drawings and specifications, conducting surveys, and managing works from inception to completion.
- Advising clients on maintenance strategies, defect analysis and compliance with building regulations.
- Assisting with tender preparation and contract administration.
- Monitoring works on site and reporting on progress, quality, and standards.
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff (senior roles).
- Collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams including architects and engineers.
What We’re Looking For:
- Building Surveyors at all stages of their careers — from newly qualified to Chartered (MRICS).
- Experience in either MOD/Defence or Local Authority/Social Housing projects (or both).
- Sound technical knowledge and understanding of relevant construction methods and regulations.
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative, problem-solving mindset with a drive for high-quality outcomes.
Essential:
- Relevant degree in Building Surveying or equivalent.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK as required.
- SC Clearance (or willingness to undergo vetting) is required for MOD/Defence work.
Location & Flexibility:
The role is based in either office location Portsmouth or Monmouth, but we are open to candidates from any location who are able to travel to one of our offices when required. Hybrid working options are also available.
