Are you a Structural Engineer with at least 2 years of post-grad experience and looking to progress your career within a well-established, forward-thinking multi-disciplinary design consultancy? We’re actively looking for a Structural Engineer to join our growing Engineering team in Monmouth, working on a diverse range of projects across the built environment including commercial, residential, public sector and heritage developments. Whether you’re a confident intermediate-level engineer or approaching senior level, this is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Chartered professionals and grow within a collaborative environment.

Flexible Working

This role is based in Monmouth with the option for hybrid working, offering flexibility around office attendance and site visits depending on project needs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out structural design and analysis using British Standards and Eurocodes.
  • Working across reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures.
  • Preparing detailed technical drawings and specifications in collaboration with technicians and architects.
  • Attending client and design team meetings, undertaking site inspections and surveys.
  • Supporting planning, building regulations, and construction stages of projects.
  • Taking responsibility for sections of projects or full projects depending on experience.
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to a positive, team-led culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate experience in a structural engineering role.
  • Background in building structures design – ideally including RC frameworks and refurbishments.
  • Proven Revit experience is essential – you will be expected to work confidently with the software as part of project delivery.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng).
  • Excellent communication skills and confident dealing with clients, contractors, and design teams.
  • Ambition to work toward Chartership (IStructE or ICE), or already Chartered.
  • Proficiency with structural software such as TEDDS, Tekla or Robot is a plus.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the UK with full right to work.
  • Ability to visit client sites across the region as needed.
  • Willingness to work towards Security Clearance (SC) where project-sensitive work is involved (not required to start).
