What we’re looking for: We’re looking for an SEO Manager to join our Digital Marketing team. You’ll get the chance to design, develop and deliver SEO strategy for our clients in the non‑profit, health, culture, and education sectors. Your work will span technical audits, content strategy, keyword research and much, much more. Ultimately, you’ll take responsibility for helping our clients get found, and stay found – these currently include NHS.UK, Crisis, Oxfam GB, Islamic Relief UK, the Royal Society, Chatham House, Breast Cancer Now and many more.
The right person for this role will have the following skills:
- Keyword research and content consultancy, ideally with experience managing content projects and an understanding of how keyword research provides unique user insight.
- Strong all‑round SEO expertise across technical SEO, content strategy, information architecture, EEAT, digital PR/link acquisition, site migrations and launches. You’ll be comfortable leading substantial SEO audits independently and turning findings into practical, strategic recommendations for clients.
- Strong skills in adapting communication style and advocating for SEO through effective storytelling, ability to tailor messaging to your audience and put SEO in real‑world context. You can explain complex information in a simple way.
- Be confident managing client accounts and stakeholder relationships independently. You’ll be comfortable leading client conversations, running workshops and monthly calls, creating SEO roadmaps and delivering strategic recommendations with confidence and credibility.
- Strong data analysis skills and confident using Google Analytics, Sheets/Excel, and industry standard SEO tools such as Ahrefs and Screaming Frog.
- Ability to build long term relationships with our top tier clients, retain and grow your client accounts. You will be able to support new business pitches and proposals.
- Self‑motivated with an ability to drive projects forward, manage workload and collaborate effectively with the team.
- Know where to look, and who to follow, for the latest SEO trends, developments and best practices. Open to continuous learning and sharing. Our SEO team is built on continual knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Curious about the future of search, including AI‑powered search experiences, GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and changing search behaviours. You're excited to explore emerging opportunities and help clients navigate them in a thoughtful, evidence‑led way.
The right person for this role will have the following experience:
- Minimum 3 years in an SEO‑focused role (agency or in‑house), with experience owning SEO strategy and stakeholder relationships. Candidates coming from an in‑house background should be able to demonstrate confident stakeholder management and experience in influencing decision‑makers.
- Experience working for charity or public sector organisations is a bonus but not a requirement.
- Comfortable contributing to new business activities such as proposals, pitches, sales conversations or RFP responses.
- Happy sharing knowledge through thought leadership, speaking, writing or internal training.

The money bit: As an employee‑owned company our remuneration is made up of three parts, your base salary £36,050 - £44,951 per annum and your tax‑free co‑owner bonus of £3,600 which is prorated and paid quarterly. As well as our profit share payment.
