We are looking for a Performance Marketing Specialist to join our award-winning team! This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on email marketing alongside paid media (PPC and paid social), as part of integrated, multi-channel campaigns. Many of our client projects combine paid acquisition with email journeys and supporter communications, so we’re looking for someone who understands how these channels work together to drive meaningful results.

You’ll be responsible for planning, delivering and optimising performance campaigns for some of the UK’s largest charities and international NGOs. You’ll be confident running paid media campaigns independently, while also comfortable building and analysing email activity that supports wider campaign objectives.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working across channels, thrives on data and testing, and wants to deepen their experience in performance-led digital marketing within a purpose-driven environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting integrated digital campaigns that include email marketing as part of acquisition, conversion or retention strategies.
  • Building, testing and sending email campaigns using platforms such as Dotdigital, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Engaging Networks, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor or similar.
  • Auditing email activity and providing recommendations for segmentation and automated journeys.
  • Planning, setting up and optimising PPC and paid social campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta.
  • Developing and implementing testing plans across paid and email channels to improve performance.
  • Auditing accounts across paid channels and email marketing, developing strategy recommendations for clients.
  • Monitoring performance daily and making data-led optimisation decisions.
  • Producing clear, insight-led reports using Google Analytics and platform data.
  • Managing multiple client accounts and delivering work accurately and on time.
  • Working closely with Account Managers, Consultants and Analysts to ensure campaigns align with client objectives and deliver measurable impact.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience building and sending email marketing campaigns, ideally using Dotdigital.
  • Experience in auditing email marketing accounts and developing strategy recommendations for clients.
  • Understanding of GDPR and data protection best practice.
  • Hands-on experience using CRM or marketing automation platforms – the more, the better.
  • Experience using Google Analytics (or similar) to measure and analyse campaign performance.
  • Strong numerical skills and confidence using Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience running PPC and paid social campaigns.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email templates.
  • Experience mapping supporter journeys for fundraising products and designing automation workflows.
  • Experience working within the charity sector and delivering campaigns with non-profit objectives such as digital fundraising and stewardship.

What we offer

  • Become a co-owner of Torchbox, shape our success and share in the rewards.
  • Work with awesome clients doing rewarding, purposeful work.
  • Competitive salary + annual review + bonuses.
  • Ethical pension scheme, with a 6% contribution from Torchbox.
  • Fully remote, hybrid, office full-time, whatever works for you.
  • Training and conference budget to discover new ideas.
  • Paid time off to volunteer for causes that matter to you.
  • Health schemes and access to mental health support.
  • Electric car salary sacrifice scheme (UK only).
  • Wellness programme and cycle-to-work scheme, alongside other lovely things that are good for you and the environment.
  • Some pretty epic socials (virtual and in-person), weekly free veggie lunches in the office and a bunch of other cool stuff we’d love to tell you about.
