We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our team

Our Delivery Managers exist to increase value for team members, Torchbox and our clients. We aim to create a culture and environment that enables teams to thrive, collaborate, and produce impactful work. You will spend your time managing the delivery of user-centred digital services, inspiring teams by helping them connect their contributions to the missions of our amazing clients. You\’ll be an adept Agile practitioner with excellent facilitation and coaching skills, who can respond quickly to change and make sense of ambiguity. You will use your experience to remove obstacles, manage risks, communicate progress and ensure excellence. Although not essential, we\’re particularly interested in hearing from you if you have experience working with globally distributed teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ticket Creation and Refinement: Work with the team to develop detailed, well-defined tickets for upcoming tasks.
  • Backlog Management: Regularly review and prioritise the project backlog, refining and updating tickets as needed to reflect changes in project scope or requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify specifications, and ensure tickets accurately represent the work to be done.
  • Project planning: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of project milestones.
  • Status Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress to key stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: While testing is a shared team responsibility, the Delivery Manager is accountable for fostering a culture of quality and ensuring deliverables meet expectations before being shared with the client.
  • Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring that team and client are aware of both current project spend and forecast spend. Identify and address any budgetary issues proactively to prevent cost overruns.

Our Delivery Managers have the following skills:

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Manager or Project Manager with agency experience or/and experience in the Not for Profit and/or Public Sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with project management tools.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience of delivering to the GDS service standard is desired but not essential

The money bit

* As an employee-owned company our remuneration is made up of two parts, your base salary Β£35,235 – Β£52,825 per annum and your tax-free co-owner bonus of Β£3,600 which is prorated and paid quarterly. There is an additional profit share scheme.

The application process

The closing date for this role is Wednesday 6th August 2025

The application process will consist of 2 stages, these will be:

  • 45-minute first-stage interview, we will ask you more about your previous work experience and skills. You\’ll also get a chance to learn more about Torchbox and the role
  • A 60-minute final stage interview, will be a panel interview with 2-3 members of the team. We will delve more into your experience and ask you some competency-based questions.
