NOTE: This role is for UK residents only. Attendance at Torch House will be required at least four times per year for staff days.

Role requirements
As Audio Transcription Coordinator you will be responsible for the production of all resources in the medium of Audio. Transcription responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the production of audio books, magazines, Torch literature and daily Bible reading notes in appropriate formats to a high-fidelity audio quality.
- Ensuring that date specific material is made available in accordance with the transcription schedule; other material to be produced in a timely manner in line with Torch communications schedule and our Business As Usual policy.
- The selection, training and ongoing supervision of audio volunteers – transcribers, editors and proof-readers.
- The onboarding, training and supervision of authors who record their books for Torch.
- Managing participants & playback of audio, videos etc. in Zoom Groups.
- Continual development of the Text to Speech (TTS) service.
- Such other duties as may be reasonably required to ensure a good Audio Transcription Service.
General
- Promote the good name of Torch at all times.
- Assist in the promotion of Torch, such as through exhibitions and conferences, as agreed by the Chief Executive.
- Participate in at least one annual in person work with Torch clients, such as Torch Together Holidays, Coffee Mornings or Fellowship Group meetings.

Christian Commitment
- There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) for the postholder to be a practising Christian, in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, due to the nature of the role within the Christian ministry of Torch Trust.
- A committed and practising Christian, able to actively support and contribute to the Christian ethos, vision and ministry of Torch Trust.
- Agreement with the aims, values and Statement of Faith of Torch Trust.

Experience and Knowledge
- Experience of coordinating projects and delivering work to deadlines.
- Experience of recruiting, training or supervising staff or volunteers or contributors.
- Good IT skills, including Google, Microsoft Office and confidence using online platforms such as Zoom.
- Awareness of, or willingness to learn about, assistive technologies and accessible audio formats (including TTS).

- Proven experience in audio recording, editing and production, ideally including spoken word or audiobook content.

Contract and Work Pattern
This is a permanent contract of 30 hours per week. The working pattern will be agreed with your Line Manager.
