We are currently recruiting for a QC Microbiology Analyst to join our team based in Paignton. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our products by providing excellent microbiology service for pharmaceutical manufacture.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience within a Microbiology lab either from work or education to join a thriving business. This is a lab based role onsite Monday to Friday.
Working as a QC Microbiology Analyst your role is essential in ensuring our products meet the relevant regulatory quality standards. The role will execute a range of microbiology analysis for pharmaceutical and facility compliance.
In the role you will work collaboratively with teams across site to meet the business needs and act as a driving force for ensuring that the laboratory meets cGMP compliance and continues to offer an excellent service to its stakeholders.
What you can expect in a QC Microbiology Analyst role at TP:
- Microbiological analysis, including tests for sterility, bacterial endotoxin, microbial enumeration, microbial identification and more.
- Execute activities for the facility environmental monitoring programme.
- Comply with cGMP and scientific documentation such as procedures, test methods, and protocols.
- Work with other departments to establish root cause and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Ensure the principles of ALCOA++ are upheld to meet data integrity cGMP.
- Maintain laboratory assets.
- Participate in laboratory upkeep, including but not limited to cleaning and stock control.
- Participate in regulatory inspections and customer audits.
- Ensure business KBI/KPIs are met and foster continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Education in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Able to change and adapt with a growing business.
- Able to understand business delivery targets and support the laboratory to success.
- Able to follow gowning and aseptic guidance for delivery of high quality and accurate microbiology work.
- An understanding of cGMP, cleanroom behaviours, safety guidelines, COSHH, Risk Assessments etc would be highly advantageous but training will be provided.
- Able to learn new skills and gain process competency within expected timeframes.
- Able to critically evaluate scientific data packages and interpret data.
