We are seeking exceptional individuals to join our expanding team of Town Centre Officers in addressing a range of antisocial behaviours and maintaining a safe environment for our residents, businesses and visitors. These roles play a leading part in delivery of the Council’s Operation Town Centres, which includes working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders.

This is a uniformed and very public facing role; you will be required to have a firm but fair approach to working with individuals, challenging unacceptable behaviour whilst also addressing risk and vulnerability. You will be able to demonstrate skills in managing challenging situations, communicating with the public, retailers, and businesses, and working with a variety of others in the tactical management / resolution of ongoing issues.

Most of the time you will be spending in one of our Town Centres tackling issues proactively, whilst working closely with colleagues from across the multi-disciplinary Community Safety Department, CCTV, and key partner agencies. Being proactive, energetic, and resilient are a must. Uniform will be provided.

This post meets the requirements for an Enhanced Criminal Record Check. This will show spent and unspent convictions and adult cautions which have not been filtered in line with legislation, plus any information held by local Police that is considered relevant to the role.
