Are you looking for a new challenge where your creative thinking and problem solving skills are a regular part of the job? If so, we have an exciting new opportunity for you! We are looking for someone to join our friendly HR team to shape and take forward key actions from our People Strategy. Working with colleagues from across the Council we are looking to develop and roll-out our new coaching and mentoring service and key organisational development projects to support and embed our relational culture.
The person we are looking for will need to be able to network confidently with a range of different stakeholders, both inside and outside our organisation and will be able to demonstrate experience of taking forward organisational strategies and working with others to implement new processes. Torbay Council is a place that highly values its workforce and creating relationships that matter is at the heart of everything we do.
The successful candidate must be able to work in a positive and inclusive way, ensuring that they respect and consider the views and ideas of others at all times.

Knowledge
Essential:
- Learning and Development or Organisational Development knowledge gained from current or previous professional experience.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of Learning and Development or Organisational Development practice.
- Experience in supporting significant organisational culture change, building readiness and navigating complex situations building trust and respect.
- Coaching and mentoring best practice and its application in a workplace environment.
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant, successful and demonstrable experience.
- Human Resources or Learning and Development CIPD Level 7.
- Accredited coaching qualification, such as ILM.
- Proven experience of working in a Learning and Development or Organisational Development team providing detailed specialist and strategic advice to Employees and Managers.
- Experience of providing coaching and mentoring in a workplace setting.
