Care to join us as a Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Practice Educator to support the Education, Learning and Development of the current and new to SACT clinical staff?
This includes establishing and promoting clinical skills development and knowledge within the Non-Surgical Cancer Services team with a specific focus on SACT, delivery, skill and enhancing the wider knowledge of key roles within the team
You will be pivotal in developing and creating a shared integrated learning experience for the benefit of our patients and staff.
You will also lead the design and delivery of specified education and training programmes, including the implementation and extension of transformational simulation, digital, QI and training programmes for the clinical workforce.
- Work with the service leads to provide SACT Education and Practice to support current training programmes, training implementing focused and specific education, training and practice development strategies
- Support the concept of continuing professional development through the delivery of relevant programmes of education and training across the NSCS SACT department
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education, training and development across the key areas of practice and SACT delivery
- Work clinically alongside registered and non-registered staff promoting and delivering education practice and the implementation of policies to ensure a workforce ‘fit for purpose’ and ‘fit for practice’ supporting patient with a cancer diagnosis and receiving SACT as part of their treatment plan
- In partnership with the Peninsula Cancer Alliance in collaboration with SACT training providers (The Royal Marsden, St Georges Hospitals) support the education, training and development of new to SACT Post-Registration programmes, to support recruitment and retention of a highly skilled workforce for current and future service development
You will be working with a friendly and innovative team in a dynamic environment, where patients receive their cancer care and SACT (Ricky Grant Day Unit, Turner Ward, Oncology/Haematology PIU, Oral SACT team)
