The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in bone health and osteoporosis to join our dynamic, friendly team. The role is varied and includes participation in clinics, DXA scanning, patient education, and treatment pathways.
We welcome applicants with transferable skills who are enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to learn. Full training and support will be provided to build on your current skills, as you develop into the Osteoporosis Specialist Nurse Role
You will provide diagnostic and management clinics for patients being referred to the Osteoporosis service
You will provide education, advice and support to patients and health professionals in the management of bone health.
Assess bone density by use of a bone density scanner (DXA scan)
Our Specialist Nurses carry out Osteoporosis Management clinics at Torbay Hospital and Paignton HWBC both in person and on the telephone. We have regular MDT meetings for discussion of complex patients.
DXA scans are also carried out at Paignton HWBC by Specialist Nurses who have been trained in this role.
