Are you a forward-thinking security leader who prioritises automation over manual tasks? We are looking for a Vulnerability Management Lead to head a high-performing team and unify the risk strategy for a dual-headquartered global leader in financial information services. You will be part of a growing technical and security hub in Manchester City Centre, with two days per week required in the office.
Operating in 30 countries, this firm is a critical pillar of the global capital markets, providing the essential credit and risk insights that drive international finance. This isn’t a role for a "legacy" candidate; we need a modern strategist to bridge the gap between infrastructure and application security while championing AI-driven solutions in an environment that is actively redefining enterprise workflows through technology.
The Mission:
- Working with your peers across the US and UK, you will build the entire roadmap for how this global organisation identifies, prioritises, and fixes risks across its digital footprint.
Strategic Leadership: Define the VM roadmap, manage budgets, and set performance metrics like KPIs and OKRs.
Automation First: Leverage AI and automation—such as Copilot Studio—to move away from repetitive, manual tasks.
Risk-Based Prioritisation: Use threat intelligence to prioritise remediation based on actual business impact rather than just "fixing everything".
Stakeholder Navigation: Act as a solution-oriented partner to Engineering and App Dev teams, navigating a complex corporate environment with authenticity.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience: Ideally 5–10 years in Information Security, with specific experience in a dedicated Vulnerability Management role.
- Technical Breadth: High-level oversight across SAST, DAST, SCA, and Cloud Security (CSPM).
- Automation Mindset: Keen on candidates who seek "agentic" solutions and automation (using AI/Copilot Studio) rather than manual, repetitive tasks.
- Maturity & Navigation: Must understand how to navigate a complex corporate environment and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Inspirational Leadership: Must seamlessly pick up the torch from team in US without "rocking the boat" of a team that is already performing well.
- Authenticity: Candidates using AI to answer interview questions or "BSing" technical gaps will be immediately disqualified. Honesty is a non-negotiable.
- Global Mindset: Ability to work flexibly to interface with key stakeholders in London, Manchester, New York and Chicago.
- Cultural Fit: We value honesty and a "get stuck in" attitude—no "consultancy vibes" or scripted interview answers.
Why Join This Business:
- Global Influence: Work for a firm whose economic outlooks and credit ratings are followed by the world’s largest financial institutions.
- Modern Culture: Join a business that prides itself on being transparent and fiercely independent, fostering a community where globally-minded people grow and develop together.
- Commitment to Growth: Benefit from bespoke leadership development through dedicated Path Programs designed to cultivate talent and foster professional advancement.
- Inclusion at the Core: Be part of a workplace where over 50% of employees are engaged in Employee Resource Groups, celebrating a diverse and inclusive culture.
- Healthcare & Wellbeing: Private Medical Insurance: Company-funded single cover including mental health support and 24/7 online GP access.
- Fitness: Fully funded membership to Wellhub for gyms, mindfulness, and nutrition.
- Family Support: Access to eldercare advice, travel security, and discounted health assessments.
- Financial Security & Retirement: Market-Leading Pension: A service-based contribution model through Aviva.
- Tax Savings: Contributions made via salary sacrifice, with the company sharing its National Insurance savings to boost your pot.
- Insurance: Life assurance at 4x salary and long-term income protection covering up to two-thirds of earnings.
- Additional Perks: Interest-free loans up to £3,000 for the Cycle to Work scheme. Complimentary will-making services.
