We are looking for an Enterprise Architect/Engineer resource that has Azure and/or AWS experience, to support the outsourced build of both AWS and Azure (interfacing and assuring the build is delivered by a third-party vendor on behalf of the client).
Location preference: Hybrid - MUST be able to travel to client office in Edinburgh 2-1 days per week, or as required. (Travel expenses can be covered by client).
Tasks and Deliverables, Azure Platform Lead:
- Lead the design and implementation of a Greenfield Azure environment.
- Implement best practices for modern engineering, harnessing Infrastructure as Code to allow for repeatability and automation for deployments.
- Design in a security-first manner, implementing security controls to satisfy our security requirements.
- Working with test engineering teams to ensure the platform build is robust and fit for purpose.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, working with technology leadership members.
- Ensure the quality of engineering deliverables and identify skill sets and resource gaps in building teams, security-first.
Additional Experience (nice to have):
- MS Fabric platform with associated data and analytic technologies.
- Previous experience building a Greenfield environment, along with Azure certifications.
- Experience working with material outsourcers.
