We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician (MOT Tester an advantage) to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive work and a commitment to high-quality service. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and technical expertise are essential.
We offer 21 days paid holidays plus bank holidays, free work wear. Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm, with 1 hour lunch break (Total 40 hours per week). Occasional overtime available. Start date ASAP.
Responsibilities:- Work on all makes of cars and light commercials
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using specialised tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, tyre fitting, Cambelt changes, Clutches etc.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and servicing
- Complete detailed reports on vehicle condition and repair work undertaken
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and MOT requirements
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role within an automotive workshop
- Mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
- Qualified Vehicle technician, MOT tester an advantage but not essential
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- A valid driving licence
