About The Role: Our cleaner ensures the nursery premises is clean and tidy, including the laundry room. The role also involves stock checking and re‑ordering to maintain sufficient supplies. Cleaners are expected to operate all required equipment such as vacuum cleaners, dish washers, washing machines, tumble driers, and steam cleaners.
Responsibilities:
- Disinfect surfaces, toys, and furniture to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness of communal areas, including kitchens and staff rooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all areas.
- Use cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and appropriately.
- Report any problems, faults, or damage appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a cleaning role; experience in a childcare or educational setting is a plus.
- Good understanding of hygiene and safety standards, particularly where children are present.
- Aware of the sustainable ethos of the company, including energy conservation and recycling.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks timely.
