Pay rate: Up to £12.22 per hour

Contracted Hours: 12.50 hours per week/ Part time

About the Role

Our cleaners ensure the nursery premises is clean and tidy including the laundry room. Also, ensure stock is checked and re-ordering is done in sufficient time to have enough for the job. You are able to operate all equipment necessary for the job – e.g. vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, washing machines, tumble driers, steam cleaners.

What does the role involve?

  • Disinfecting surfaces, toys, and furniture to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of communal areas, including kitchens and staff rooms.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas.
  • Able to use the correct cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely and appropriately.
  • To report any problems, faults, damage appropriately.

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role (experience in a childcare or educational setting is a plus).
  • A good understanding of hygiene and safety standards, particularly in environments where children are present.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
